What HostingPickers does
Hosting sites love a low first price. Then the plan renews at two or three times that. We show both. Every plan here lists the price you pay to start, the price it renews at, and the average cost per month over the term you choose.
We read each price from the provider's own site, price list or API, 20 providers in all, and check it again every day. If a price changes, the page changes the same day. Where we earn a fee from a link, we say so, and it never changes the order of the list.
How to compare hosting plans
Start with the kind of hosting you need. A blog or small business site runs fine on shared or WordPress hosting. An app, a game server or a busy store needs a VPS or a cloud server. Big jobs, like AI models or large databases, need a dedicated or GPU server.
Then set a budget, the RAM and storage you need, and where your visitors are. Sort by price, and look at the 3-year cost, not only the first month. The cheapest plan to start is often not the cheapest one to keep.
What does web hosting cost?
Shared and WordPress hosting starts at about $1 to $3 a month for the first term, and often renews at $8 to $20. A small VPS costs $2 to $6 a month, and many keep that price when they renew. Cloud servers bill by the hour, from $0.00 a month. Dedicated servers start at about $6 for small Atom or ARM boxes and run past $100 for new AMD and Intel chips.
Prices shift each week as sales start and end. That is why we check them every day, and why each plan shows when its price was last seen.
