Hostinger and Bluehost are two of the most popular hosts for first websites and small businesses. Both are cheap to start, both offer WordPress-focused plans, and both are cheapest on long prepaid terms. They differ in ways that matter, though. Here is how their entry plans compare, using the data we check every day.

Price and renewals
Hostinger usually has the lower intro price; Bluehost usually has the gentler renewal. If you plan to keep the same host for many years, look at the three-year cost on each plan page rather than the headline: the gap between them shrinks or reverses once renewals start.
Number of sites and storage
Bluehost's Starter plan allows more websites, which is handy if you run several small sites. Hostinger's Premium plan gives more storage for fewer sites. For a single business website either is plenty.
Where your site is hosted
This is the biggest practical difference. Hostinger lets you choose a data centre in one of 11 countries, including India, Singapore, Indonesia, Brazil, the US and several European countries. Bluehost's shared plans run in the US. If most of your visitors are in Asia or Europe, a nearby Hostinger data centre will make your site load faster.
Moving up
Both have larger plans when your site grows:
Which should you choose?
- Choose Hostinger if your visitors are outside the US, you want the lowest starting price, or you prefer to choose your server location.
- Choose Bluehost if your audience is mainly in the US, you want to host several small sites on one plan, or you want a smaller jump at renewal.
Either way, check the renewal price and the refund window before you prepay a long term. You can compare these plans side by side, with every billing term, on HostingPickers.
