Namecheap Stellar costs $1.87 a month on a 24-month term and renews at $4.29 a month, a 129% increase. Stellar Plus goes from $2.25 to $6.10, and Stellar Business from $4.45 to $10.50.
Those are the prices we checked on 7 October 2026. Below is every Namecheap hosting plan, what it renews at on each term, and what you actually pay over three years. Namecheap's percentage jumps look steep, but its lowest shared renewal, $4.29, is lower than any other shared host we track except the European budget hosts OVHcloud and netcup.
Namecheap renewal prices, plan by plan
Namecheap sells shared hosting on 1-, 12- and 24-month terms. The intro price in this table is for the 24-month term, the cheapest per month. The 3-year cost is 24 months at the intro price plus 12 months at the renewal price, because a 24-month term runs out before the three years are up.

Stellar hosts 3 websites with 20 GB of SSD; Stellar Business has 50 GB. All three come with cPanel, SSL and a free non-premium domain for the first year. EasyWP is Namecheap's managed WordPress platform, one site per plan.
Namecheap's per-month intro prices are the term total divided by the months. Its plan cards round them to a figure ending in 8, so Stellar's 12-month price, $26.88 for the year, shows as $2.28 a month on the card but works out to $2.24.
When the renewal hits
Namecheap renews you for the same term at the regular price. On the 24-month term, that means one bill at the start of year three: $102.96 for Stellar (24 × $4.29), $146.40 for Stellar Plus and $252.00 for Stellar Business.
On the 12-month term, the renewal comes after only a year. Stellar renews at $4.66 a month, so the second-year bill is $55.92.
The term you pick changes the renewal
Here is Stellar on every term:

The 24-month term has the biggest jump but the lowest cost, because it also has the lowest renewal price. Namecheap ties the renewal to the term, so the longer term keeps paying off after the intro ends.
The monthly term has no jump, and it starts with a 30-day free trial (one per account). It costs more than twice as much over three years, though, so it's only worth it if you're testing.
Stellar Plus follows the same pattern: $283.68 over three years month to month, $205.80 on the 12-month term and $127.20 on the 24-month term. Stellar Business costs $427.68, $316.68 and $232.80.
EasyWP: a smaller jump, and one odd term
EasyWP's jumps are smaller than Stellar's, between 47% and 85%. Turbo and Supersonic are cheapest on the 24-month term.
Starter is the exception. On the 12-month term it's $3.24 a month, renewing at $5.74. On the 24-month term the intro is higher, $3.58, but the renewal is lower, $5.25. Over three years the 24-month term still wins, at $148.92 against $176.64, but you pay $85.92 up front instead of $38.88.
On the monthly term, Starter is $9.88 after a free first month, and Turbo and Supersonic start at $13.88 and $20.88 for the first month, then $18.88 and $26.88.
Email differs too. Turbo and Supersonic include email free for the first year only; on Starter, email is a paid add-on.
VPS and reseller: small jumps or none
Namecheap's VPS plans have the smallest increases, between 12% and 29%. They're sold on 1-, 3- and 12-month terms, and the 12-month term is cheapest in every case.

Reseller hosting doesn't rise at all. Nebula (25 cPanel accounts) is $17.88 a month on the 12-month term and renews at the same price. Galaxy Expert is $36.88 and Universe Pro $55.88.
Dedicated servers are where Namecheap's yearly discounts are deepest. The Xeon E-2236 with 32 GB is $37.33 a month on the 12-month term and renews at $74.66, double the intro.
How Namecheap compares
Namecheap's 3-year cost for Stellar, $96.36 on the 24-month term, is a little lower than Hostinger Premium's $107.64 on its 48-month term. The renewal is where they differ most: Stellar renews at $4.29 a month, Hostinger Premium at $10.99. How to pay less at Namecheap
- Pick the 24-month term for shared hosting. It has both the lowest intro and the lowest renewal: $96.36 over three years on Stellar, against $138.72 on the 12-month term.
- Use the free trial to test. The monthly term starts with 30 free days, so you can try a plan before you prepay.
- Budget for year three. A $102.96 renewal for Stellar is small, but it arrives as one bill.
- Don't upgrade for nothing. Stellar Plus costs $1.81 a month more than Stellar on renewal. If 3 sites and 20 GB are enough, stay on Stellar.
Namecheap offers a 30-day refund.
The bottom line
Namecheap's intro prices more than double on renewal, but the renewals themselves are low: $4.29 a month for Stellar on the 24-month term. That term is the cheapest choice on every shared plan, at $96.36 for Stellar over three years. Its VPS plans rise by 29% or less, and reseller plans not at all.
