Bluehost renewal prices (2026): what each plan costs later

Bluehost's intro prices last three or four years, then shared plans renew at 41% to 150% more. Here is the renewal price of every plan, what it costs over three years, and which term to pick.

Prices checked daily

Bluehost Starter costs $3.99 a month on a 36-month term and renews at $9.99 a month, a 150% increase. Business goes from $6.99 to $13.99, and Pro from $9.99 to $16.99.

We checked these prices on 6 October 2026. Bluehost's jumps are smaller in percentage terms than many big shared hosts, and the bigger the plan, the smaller the jump.

Bluehost renewal prices, plan by plan

Bluehost offers its lowest intro price on both the 36-month and the 48-month term, at the same rate, so the 3-year cost is the same on either. The 3-year cost below is 36 months at the intro price, with no renewal inside that window.

Plan Intro price Term Renews at Jump 3-year cost
Starter $3.99/mo 36 or 48 months $9.99/mo +150% $143.64
Business $6.99/mo 36 or 48 months $13.99/mo +100% $251.64
Pro $9.99/mo 36 or 48 months $16.99/mo +70% $359.64
Premium $13.99/mo 36 or 48 months $20.99/mo +50% $503.64
Enhanced $16.99/mo 36 or 48 months $24.99/mo +47% $611.64
Elite $19.99/mo 36 or 48 months $28.99/mo +45% $719.64
eCommerce Essentials $14.99/mo 36 or 48 months $21.99/mo +47% $539.64
eCommerce Premium $21.99/mo 36 months $30.99/mo +41% $791.64
Cloud 10 $65.00/mo 36 months $65.00/mo none $2,340.00

The WordPress versions of Starter through Elite cost exactly the same as the web hosting versions.

When the renewal hits

On the 36-month term, the intro price runs for three full years. When the term ends, Bluehost renews you for the same term length at the renewal price. For Starter that is a single payment of $359.64 (36 × $9.99) at the start of year four. For Business it is $503.64, and for Pro $611.64.

On the 48-month term the intro price lasts a year longer, but you pay $191.52 up front for Starter instead of $143.64, and the renewal for another 48 months would be $479.52.

The term you pick changes the renewal price

Unusually, Bluehost's renewal price depends on the term, not only the intro price. Here is Starter:

Term Intro price Renews at Jump Paid up front 3-year cost
1 month $15.99/mo $15.99/mo none $15.99 $575.64
12 months $4.99/mo $11.99/mo +140% $59.88 $347.64
36 months $3.99/mo $9.99/mo +150% $143.64 $143.64
48 months $3.99/mo $9.99/mo +150% $191.52 $143.64

On the 12-month term, Starter renews at $11.99 a month, $2.00 more than on the long terms. Over three years the 12-month term costs $347.64, more than twice the $143.64 of the 36-month term. Business shows the same pattern: $15.99 renewal on the 12-month term against $13.99 on the long terms.

So the long term is cheaper twice: a lower intro price and a lower renewal price.

Which plans have the smallest jump

The percentage jump shrinks as plans get bigger. Starter rises 150% on the long terms, Business 100%, Pro 70% and Premium 50%. The eCommerce Premium plan has the smallest jump on the 36-month term at 41%, and Elite on the 12-month term rises only 38% ($23.99 to $32.99).

The Bluehost Cloud plans have no jump at all: Cloud 10 is $65.00 a month on the 36-month term and renews at the same price. It costs $90.00 a month if you pay monthly.

A smaller jump doesn't mean a smaller bill. Starter renews at $9.99 a month, less than any other Bluehost plan, even though its percentage jump is the largest.

What's included, and what isn't

Starter covers 10 websites with 10 GB of NVMe storage, Business 50 websites with 50 GB, and Pro 100 websites with 100 GB. Every shared plan includes 2 email accounts on the free cPanel Email tier; more are paid. Bluehost offers a 30-day refund.

How to pay less at Bluehost

  1. Take the 36-month term if you are sure. It has the same intro price as the 48-month term with a smaller up-front payment, and a lower renewal price than the 12-month term.
  2. Note the renewal date the day you buy. For Starter on the 36-month term, that is a $359.64 payment three years from now.
  3. Pick by renewal price, not by intro price. Business renews at $13.99 and Pro at $16.99. If Starter's 10 sites and 10 GB are enough, it is the cheapest plan to keep.
  4. Ask before you renew. Support can sometimes offer a lower rate to a customer who is about to leave.

The bottom line

On the long terms, Bluehost's shared plans renew 41% to 150% above the intro price, smaller jumps than Hostinger or SiteGround. On the 36-month term, Starter costs $143.64 for three years and then $9.99 a month. Avoid the 12-month term: its intro price is higher and it renews higher too.
